Surf Schools & Board Rentals

Booking software for surf schools and board rentals

Lessons and rentals sharing one rack of boards, with instructors who are never booked into two classes at once.

  • Lessons and rentals drawing from one board inventory
  • Instructors assigned without double-booking
  • Class size limits and age rules per level
  • Close lessons for bad conditions while rentals stay open

A surf school is two businesses sharing one rack. In the morning your soft-tops are out with a beginner class, at noon they are rented to the people who took last week's lesson, and in between your instructors are trying to work out who is teaching the 1 PM. Resytech runs both sides from one schedule.

Lessons and rentals, one rack

Lessons are scheduled classes with an instructor, per-person pricing, and a class size. Rentals are self-serve with hourly or half-day rates. Both draw from the same board inventory, and you decide how many boards are held back for lessons, so a beginner class never shows up to an empty rack on a busy rental day.

Levels that match the lineup

Beginner and intermediate lessons each get their own times, board types, class limit, age restriction, and price. Adults and kids can be priced differently in the same class. Board details like size, construction, and skill level help renters pick something they can actually ride.

Instructors where they are supposed to be

Assign instructors to the levels they teach, and Resytech blocks anyone already teaching an overlapping session. Timesheets track hours for seasonal staff, with optional geofenced clock-in so the clock only starts at the beach.

When the ocean does not cooperate

Block out a day for the whole location, or close only lessons while experienced surfers can still rent. When you cancel for conditions, refund in full or in part back to the original card, and the booking balance updates on its own.

Add-ons and the shack

Wetsuits, rash guards, booties, and photo packages are sold as add-ons with the booking. Wax, sunscreen, and snacks go through the point of sale, and card payments at the shack run on a Stripe Terminal reader. Every student and renter signs a digital waiver, with parents signing for minors.

From first wave to regular

Every student gets a customer profile. A workflow can invite beginners to the intermediate class a week after their first lesson, and a post-lesson survey tells you which instructors students rave about.

Common questions

Can surf lessons and board rentals share the same boards?

Yes. Both draw from the same equipment. Decide how many boards are held for lessons and how many are rentable, and availability is tracked across both.

How do I handle cancellations for bad surf?

Black out a day for the whole location or for a single activity, so you can cancel lessons and keep rentals open, then refund affected bookings in full or in part through Stripe.

Can kids and adults be priced differently in the same lesson?

Yes. Groups such as adult and child carry their own prices, and every student counts toward the class size limit.
