Kayak & Paddleboard Rentals

Booking software for kayak and paddleboard rentals

Fifty kayaks, forty boards, one front desk, and a website that always knows what is on the rack.

  • Real-time inventory across walk-ins and online bookings
  • Singles, tandems, and SUPs mixed in one reservation
  • Guided paddle tours drawing from the same fleet
  • Counter sales for dry bags, sunscreen, and snacks

Paddle sports rentals are a volume business. On a good Saturday the same kayak goes out four or five times, families want two singles and a tandem in one go, and half your customers walk up without a reservation while the other half book on their phones from the parking lot. Your booking system has to keep all of that in sync, live.

Inventory that stays honest

Resytech tracks how many of each boat and board you own and computes availability against every overlapping rental. When a walk-in takes the last tandem at 2 PM, your website stops offering it at 2 PM the same instant. No more apologizing to a customer who booked a boat that was already on the water.

  • Hourly, half-day, and full-day rates, each with its own price
  • Buffer time between rentals to rinse, check, and restage equipment
  • Booking cutoffs so you are never surprised by a rental two minutes out
  • Premium boards priced higher without building a separate product

Families book in one go

Customers can mix equipment in a single reservation: two single kayaks, a tandem, and a paddleboard for the teenager, priced together with one total. Add-ons like dry bags, phone cases, or paddle upgrades are picked right alongside the rental. Details such as length, type, and skill level help people choose the right boat without calling you first.

Rentals and guided tours from one fleet

Most outfitters also run guided paddles. Set aside part of the fleet for tours so the sunset paddle always has boats, even when walk-up rentals are slammed. Tours carry their own departure times, per-person pricing, group size limits, and an assigned guide who cannot be double-booked.

Fast at the counter

Staff create walk-in bookings from the dashboard, take cards on a Stripe Terminal reader, and ring up sunscreen and snacks on the built-in point of sale. Every paddler signs a digital waiver, on their own phone or a tablet at the desk, and the signed copy is stored with the booking.

Bring them back next season

Every rental builds a customer profile automatically. Send a thank-you with a review link the day after, email last summer's paddlers when you open for the year, and let abandoned cart recovery follow up with the people who got distracted halfway through checkout.

How to set it up

Our documentation has a full kayak & paddleboard rentals guide that walks through the exact setup, with worked examples of products, schedules, and pricing.

Common questions

Can kayaks and paddleboards be sold as one rental?

Yes, as long as they follow the same hours and rental lengths. Customers pick the equipment they want at checkout and each type keeps its own inventory count. If boards and kayaks keep different hours, they can be set up as separate rentals instead.

How does Resytech handle walk-in customers?

Staff create bookings from the dashboard against the same live inventory as your website, take payment with a card reader or record cash, and send the waiver to the guest's phone. Online availability updates immediately.

Can I hold some kayaks back for guided tours?

Yes. Assign part of the fleet to your tours and the rest to rentals. Tour groups always have boats, and rentals can only sell what is left.
