Resytech looks at how rentals genuinely overlap: a board out from 9-11 AM and another from 1-3 PM are not a conflict, while two overlapping afternoon rentals are. Blackout periods, maintenance windows, and equipment reserved by activities are all part of the same check.

What happens when equipment is used by both activities and rentals?
Availability is computed across everything that reserves the equipment: direct rentals and activities that use it. If your tour takes six kayaks out at 10 AM, only the remaining kayaks are rentable in that window.
